Evidence documentation
Methodology
This release compares exact whole/raw Food Records by reported composition and evidence status. It is not a universal food rating.
Exact Food Records and source scope
Each row retains a canonical ID, common name, free-text exact state label, source type, FDC ID, release, source URL, origin, and confidence. The state label is shown as supplied; it is not converted into inferred cultivar, preparation, geography, or market categories.
Denominators and calculated views
Per 100 g is the source composition basis. Per 100 kcal = (metric per 100 g × 100) ÷ energy kcal per 100 g; it is withheld when the source metric is missing, energy is missing, or energy is zero. Per serving = (metric per 100 g × sourced serving grams) ÷ 100; it is withheld when the source metric or serving grams are missing. Both calculation views retain a formula ID, version, and same-record input trail. The mass-for-100-kcal display is a separate versioned calculation from the record’s per-100-g energy observation.
Origin, confidence, and missingness
Origin labels are M (measured), C (calculated), E (estimated), I (evidence-backed inference), and P (Proposed — Physique Skool custom metric, rule, or threshold). SR Legacy I observations remain conservative: reported_origin_unclassified, low confidence, and not eligible to rank. Confidence is ordered high, moderate, low, then insufficient. Documented zero and structural zero remain numeric zero with different labels. Below detection limit, below quantification limit, Not analyzed, and Not applicable are distinct nonnumeric states. A numeric observation marked not eligible to rank remains visible as reported evidence. Missing values never become zero.
Ranking and ties
Explore all is alphabetical editorial order, not a concealed rank. A ranking appears only for a lens with rankable numeric observations; full precision determines order, values rounded for display do not. Ties resolve by canonical ID after the requested direction. Status-only lenses use Not applicable — evidence status and do not supply a numeric denominator or rankable count.
Method-status gates and limits
NRF9.3 remains reproduction pending. Free glucose, free fructose, and sucrose are separate composition fields; sucrose is not converted into headline free sugars. Compatible available carbohydrate is withheld. GI is not literal digestion speed and is not shown as if it were. GI, tolerance, and organic remain separate evidence-status fields until eligible exact-state records are available. When a field is absent, it is shown as Not reported/not available rather than inferred.
The current source refresh is a first baseline: no previous manifest is available, so empty change arrays do not establish continuity with an earlier release.
